What is your cancellation policy?

Please allow 24 hours’ notice if you cannot make your appointment.  After your second missed appointment, you will be charged a full session fee. 

What forms of payment do you accept?

All major credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and cash.

Do you take insurance?

I am an out-of –network provider. I do not process insurance but can provide receipts or a “Super Bill” at the end of each month that you can use for reimbursement from your insurance compan​y.

I also accept Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Accounts payment!


Why don’t you take my insurance?

Driven By Wellness Therapy is an out-of-network provider and has chosen not to accept insurance at this time for several important reasons:

  1. You are in control of your care, including choosing your therapist, length of treatment etc. Insurance companies often limit the number of sessions, which severely restricts the therapeutic techniques available both to the therapist and the client.

  2. Increased privacy and confidentiality (except for limits of confidentiality).

  3. When a therapist bills sessions through an insurance company, the insurance company requires a mental health diagnosis, which has the potential of raising your deductible.

  4. Consulting with me on non-psychiatric issues that are important to you that aren’t billable by insurance, such as learning how to cope with life changes, gaining more effective communication techniques for your relationships, increasing personal insight, and developing healthy new skills.

However, I do offer rates based on sliding scale.
